Little Debbie Gets Little

The weekend is probably the worst time for me. I won’t even put down what I ate. I will be heading home in two weekends, in which I can use the scale to assess my situation correctly. Next week also begins the Lent season, in which I will eat one candy or sweet a day, drink no pop, and eat tons of fruits and vegetables. And that’s what I did today- eggs, rice, cooked vegetables, raw fruits, and a V8 fusion. And some peanut butter MM’s.

My goal is to get to my ideal weight by April. Not a specific day in April. Just.. April.


Day 4

Yesterday I drank around 7.5 to 8 cups of water, and today I drank a little over 8 cups. And now I’m gorging on a coke zero. I’m PMSing.. maybe it’ll pass once this is over with.

I’ve noticed I’m chowing down on plenty of chocolate and sweets. My craving for sugar seems to have heightened. I need to find something that can replace this. Any suggestions?

As for the salad a day- it’s only been two days but I’ve done it so far! I think this will be an easy change.

I’m going to try to limit myself to one candy snack a day, probably starting tomorrow as a headstart on Lent.

I know it’s not the end of the day, but I already figured out I’m going to have to take this slower in order to be effective. So I’m revising my guidelines.

  1. Still drink 8 cups of water a day. It’s not that hard.
  2. DO eat a salad a day. Starting tomorrow, because today I had delicious wheat penne pasta with marinara sauce. But yes, tomorrow, salad.
  3. Cutting back on the sugar will start when the Lenten season starts in two weeks. I’m no longer Christian, but my family is and I will still participate. I will give up sugary foods that have no nutritional value, unless I am given some by my boyfriend’s mom, or it is someone’s birthday. Like my boyfriend’s.
  4. I can have salt, but only when I eat pasta. Which will be less and less now that I will be eating a salad a day.
  5. The stairs thing can start later too. Like at the end of the month.

I realize that because of these changes the process will be slower, but I am okay with that. I’d rather lose a pound or two a week rather than do this all at once. I know that if I did that, it’d fall apart before my eyes.

Just the Same But Brand New

Green eyes. 5’6”, dark blonde. Can’t wait for my hair to be long again.

My brand new weight will be 123. I have a small frame.

Here’s how I’ll do it:

  1. Drink 8 glasses of water a day. And here’s how I’ll do THAT: one when I wake up, one after work, one before I go to bed, one at lunch, one at dinner, and three more spread throughout the day. I can do that.
  2. Take the stairs to the fifth floor, then ride the elevator the rest of the way. We’ll start out like that, until I can make it up all five flights without a breath. Then onto nine flights of stairs.
  3. Switch out lunch or dinner for a salad. What would be most effective is whatever meal I don’t eat with Chris, I eat a salad. That way, I can eat pasta when I crave it during the day.
  4. No sugary foods including candy, Nutter Butters, and Poptarts. Also no foods high in sodium like goldfish.
  5. No salt added!

And that should be good for awhile until my body gets used to it. We’ll see how much I lose at first then add more goals along the way.
